Best Concert Memory:
“I cannot choose 1! Top 5 of all time (not ranked): 1. Jamie XX, Bonnaroo 2015 – the xx is one of my favorite bands, and In Colour had just dropped. 2. LCD Soundsystem, Metro (Chicago) 2016 – I started liking this band when they stopped being a band, so I had to wait what felt like a decade to finally see them live. 3. Grimes, Summerset 2016 – she is an incredibly talented artist, and I really admire her. Also, she was born 8 days before me so we are probably soul sisters. She was at The Grove at Summerset and we were in the 3rd row, I’ve never been that close to an artist I like. 4. Kanye West, Saint Pablo Tour (Chicago) 2016 – floating stage and we sprung for floor seats. 5. ODESZA, A Moment Apart Tour (Madison) 2017 – I’ve seen them grow from supporting Emancipator at Majestic to headlining an arena. everything is so calculated and they know how to use every inch of space in an arena.

“I have seen practically zero popular movies (because I’m going to shows all the time!). Also, I love TV. I saw the new Ghostbusters in a theater with a friend, and I didn’t know who Bill Murray was when he made a cameo (yes, I am generally aware he is an actor). I then looked up his filmography and determined I had seen ZERO Billy Murray movies. one of my friends created a movie watching club specifically to address this. The first meeting of movie club was to watch the original Ghostbusters, so now I have seen a Bill Murray movie!”
