G.A. stands for general admission and means that there is no assigned seat. As a matter of fact for most shows, there are no seats on the ground floor at all. We believe that it results in a more intimate experience. There is seating in the balcony that is first come first served. Reserved box seats are available for most shows for an additional price. If a show is seated, it is still general admission. Think of it like a movie theatre.
Sold out means that you probably thought to yourself, "I'll just go get tickets the day of the show" and soon became disappointed to learn that next time you'd be best advised to buy tickets early in advance because there were no more tickets left for sale. You can sign up for our email newsletter here and be the first to know about shows and events that we have coming to the Majestic and never have that sinking feeling in your stomach ever again. Also please add us to your Myspace and Facebook!
Of course you can. Our only age requirement is that you are born. All ages all the time. And if any of you ladies are carrying someone that has yet to be born, they get it free of charge with your ticket. We also proudly serve a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages for the under 21 crowd.
We are located at 115 King Street just off Capitol Square in downtown Madison. You'll see the marquee.
There is no bad seat at the Majestic Theatre. That's the idea. Different areas of the venue offer a different experience. The main floor is designed to feel like a little like a rock club. The balcony is designed to feel like a lounge. The opera boxes are designed to allow you to impress a date and offer an unparalleled view. Different people have different ideas of what is a great seat so you're best bet is to show up early and choose your own personal best seat.
You can email us at booking@majesticmadison.com if you have a booking suggestion or you are looking to play at the Majestic. If you are looking to headline, please do not email us unless you are fairly certain that you can sell at least 300 tickets. And if you want to open one of our other shows, please make sure your music fits well...and be sure to include some info on recent shows you've played in Madison and what the draw was. It will make it easier for us to approach an agent about adding you if we have this info.
